Brian McAllister
Brian is the principal responsible attorney. Prior to this, Brian founded LocaLyfe, a PropTech start-up that was focused on hyperlocal data.
Previously, Brian was Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of the corporate legal group at CBRE Group, a global public real estate services and investment management company with more than 70,000 employees operating from 400 offices around the world at the time. Brian had global responsibility for mergers & acquisitions, debt and equity transactions, SEC reporting and compliance, corporate governance, strategic procurement, trademarks, licensing and general corporate matters. Brian also served as a Senior Vice President of Corporate Development while at CBRE, overseeing acquisitions and investments in Asia-Pacific, as well as leading various acquisitions, investments and partnerships with commercial real estate services, data and technology companies in the U.S. In addition, he chaired the Southeast Asia Management Board.
Prior to joining CBRE, Brian spent more than a decade practicing corporate law with major international law firms in Los Angeles, Hong Kong and the Silicon Valley, with a focus on startup representation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, venture capital financings and securities offerings.
Brian earned his J.D. from the University of California – Hastings College of the Law; his M.A. in International Policy Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey; and his B.A. in Political Science from San Jose State University.
